£13.42 per hour

About the Role
Help us make a difference as an Information Point Officer at our household waste recycling centre in Horsham. You will be the first point of contact for site users, advising and assisting members of the public to maximise segregation and recycling. Your responsibilities will include picking and segregating waste within the site and floor, cleaning yard areas, redirecting commercial customers, and operating the booking system across six booking sites. You will play a key role in preventing commercial and non-compliant waste from entering the site, ensuring waste is segregated as much as possible for recycling, and supporting the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the site. All duties must be carried out in adherence to company policies and procedures, including health and safety, environmental, and operational requirements.

Experience
Customer service skills with the ability and willingness to assist members of the public and other site users. Experience in record keeping and handling difficult situations is beneficial.

Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative. Strong communication skills and a positive attitude towards helping the public and supporting site operations.

Qualifications
No formal qualifications are required for this role, but a commitment to following procedures and delivering excellent customer service is essential.
