About the Role
ABM Facility Services UK are seeking full-time permanent Cleaning & Waste Operatives for a high-profile client in the Wynyard area. The successful candidate will work as part of a motivated team in a physically demanding, fast-paced warehouse environment, providing janitorial and waste removal services. Duties include maintaining high standards of cleanliness in welfare areas such as washrooms, break rooms, canteens, social areas including reception, offices, locker rooms, and production areas including the main production floor.

Responsibilities also involve handling waste via approved streams, preparing it for transportation, and operating cleaning equipment such as walk-behind and ride-on sweepers and scrubber-dryers. Ensuring all equipment is clean, well-maintained, and safe to use is essential. The role requires responsiveness to spillages and client callouts, effective communication with team members and management, and adherence to Health & Safety legislation and company policies.

The post holder must be able to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrate initiative, and communicate confidently. Full training on cleaning methods and equipment will be provided to all successful candidates.

Experience
No prior experience required; willingness to learn cleaning methods and health and safety practices is essential.

Qualifications
Desirable: First Aid at Work certificate
