About the Role
ABM Facility Services UK is seeking full-time permanent Cleaning/Waste Operatives to join a high-profile client site. You will work as part of a motivated janitorial and waste removal team in a fast-paced, physically demanding warehouse environment. Your duties will include maintaining high standards of cleanliness in welfare areas such as washrooms, break rooms, canteens, social areas including reception, offices, locker rooms, and production floors. You will handle waste generated on site through approved waste streams, preparing it for transportation. The role involves operating cleaning equipment including walk-behind and ride-on sweepers and scrubber-dryers, ensuring all equipment is clean, well maintained, and safe to use. Responsiveness to spillages and client callouts is essential. You will be expected to wear protective clothing (PPE) and comply with all Health & Safety legislation and policies. The role requires good communication skills to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Full training on cleaning methods and equipment will be provided to ensure you are confident and competent in your duties.
Experience
No prior experience is required, but knowledge of cleaning methods or a willingness to learn is essential. Experience working in a busy operational environment is advantageous.
