About the Role
Help us make a difference as a Commercial Manager. In this role, you will own the business unit’s budget, closely monitor costs, and drive profitability. You will manage key client relationships, identify growth opportunities, and bring fresh ideas to win new business. Your responsibilities include analysing data, producing insightful reports to uncover cost savings and profit opportunities, staying ahead of regulatory changes, and leading bids and negotiations for contractors joining the Sizewell C Project. You will oversee the site administration team, ensuring Health, Safety and Environmental standards are never compromised. Working at a senior level, you will collaborate closely with the Operations Lead to ensure the Waste Contract at Sizewell C is delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standard.

Join a Landmark Project, Sizewell C Nuclear Power Station
Biffa’s Specialist Services Industrial Division has secured the waste management contract for the build of Sizewell C, a major nuclear power station development in Suffolk. With a projected 10-year construction period, this high-profile project mirrors our successful work at Hinkley Point C. Operations will eventually move to a purpose-built Waste Consolidation Centre, but initially, our team will manage the contract directly from the client’s site, overseeing collections, subcontractors, reporting, invoicing, and waste consultancy.

Your Core Responsibilities
- Drive profitable, long-term contracts within agreed pricing frameworks.
- Own the project’s finances and deliver monthly commercial performance updates.
- Lead full contract P&L management to achieve year-on-year growth.
- Produce clear, accurate reports that inform key business decisions.
- Partner across teams to deliver innovative, integrated recycling solutions.
- Ensure site operations consistently hit service, financial, and KPI targets.
- Oversee negotiations and maintain watertight compliance with all agreements.
- Keep site administration sharp, accurate, and fully compliant.
