38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm.

About the Role
Be the face of Thames Water and play a vital role in protecting water quality. Join our front-line team responsible for carrying out over 500,000 water quality tests annually across treatment works, reservoirs, and customer homes to ensure drinking water meets the highest standards. As a Customer Water Quality Officer, you will spend much of your time travelling between customer locations and sites, working as part of a busy, supportive team across a wide geographical area. Your responsibilities will include testing water samples, maintaining sampling records and equipment to industry standards, and supporting investigations into supply issues and customer complaints to resolve problems quickly and professionally. The internal title for this role is Water Quality Technician. You will be on assignment at Thames Water via Pertemps and will be required to complete a short 30-minute assessment as part of the screening process to demonstrate your core skills and suitability for the role.

Experience
Experience in a role involving extensive driving and direct customer interaction is highly beneficial.
About you
You will have a clean, manual UK driving licence and confidence to carry out unplanned visits to residential and commercial properties. Strong journey planning skills and the ability to work independently while staying connected with the wider team are essential. You should be naturally organised, have a strong eye for detail, and take pride in doing things properly. An interest in the water industry, with either existing knowledge or a genuine willingness to learn, is important. Good computer skills and confidence using everyday IT systems are also required.
Qualifications
