About the Role
As Water Digital Lead at WSP, you will evangelise and drive the digital transformation across our Water business. You will identify and implement emerging digital technologies, including AI, to enhance our service offerings and platforms. Reporting to the Head of Profession for Water, you will develop and execute the digital delivery strategy, collaborating with Heads of Discipline, Project Directors, and technical teams to embed digital innovation throughout project lifecycles.
Our water team works on some of the UK's most significant projects for major clients such as Severn Trent Water, South West Water, United Utilities, Yorkshire Water, and others, as well as governmental and international projects. You will lead the transformation of design delivery through automation, implement data and information architectures, and develop geospatial data repositories.
Key responsibilities include driving digital skills development, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of technology and process innovations, leading the adoption of Common Data Environment and CAD standards, and supporting key bids. You will set and deliver the digital and AI strategy aligned with market opportunities, establish a digital delivery structure, and influence stakeholders across the business to embed digital best practices.

Experience
- Extensive experience in digital project delivery and BIM Level 2 compliant environments
- Proven business leadership and strategic development capabilities
- Experience leading high-performing teams through change and motivating others
- Multi-disciplinary design experience in linear pipeline infrastructure and treatment projects
- Management and use of asset data within various modelling dimensions
- Fully conversant with BIM Level 2 environments and ISO19650 standards
- Knowledge of programming languages, data integration tools, and automation packages
- Demonstrable thought leadership in digital transformation, including professional society involvement
