About the Role
Murphy is recruiting for a Document Controller to work with the Energy Team on the SSE ASTI Framework. Our business is renowned for extensive in-house expertise, experience, and a continuous drive to innovate within the industry to create added value for all our customers. We support groundbreaking transmission and distribution projects across four countries, ensuring energy security for decades to come. Our services include design, construction, and commissioning, delivering Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) projects to both regulated and private customers, alongside technical and engineering solutions within conventional power and energy transition markets.

As a Document Controller at Murphy, you will ensure that all construction documentation is managed in a controlled and efficient manner. Responsibilities include maintaining the Common Data Environment (CDE) such as F Drive, Aconex, and/or Client CDE, ensuring information is permanently available or transferred to the JMS CDE prior to contract completion. You will create and maintain document registers, allocate document numbers according to JMS or Client procedures, and review document details for accuracy prior to issue. Quality checking documents for typographical or formatting errors to maintain professionalism and legibility is essential.

Additional duties include creating and maintaining distribution lists, workflows, and review cycles, collating and issuing handover documentation such as O&M manuals, H&S files, as-built records, and data books. Archiving documents electronically is required unless contract or legislation states otherwise.
