About the Role
Mott MacDonald Bentley (MMB) is a fully integrated design and build business combining the design expertise of Mott MacDonald with the contracting experience of JN Bentley to deliver award-winning water and wastewater projects. Working across all project phases from feasibility through to construction, you will contribute to major schemes primarily located around Bournemouth, Poole, and South Dorset. With an annual turnover exceeding £500 million, MMB is a leader in the industry and a capital delivery partner for multi-million-pound projects through to 2030 and beyond.
As an Environmental Specialist, you will be part of a UK-wide environment team supporting regional design and operations staff. Your role will involve identifying environmental risks throughout the project lifecycle, supporting project teams to develop mitigation measures considering cost, time, compliance, safety, and social impacts. You will coordinate specialist environmental inputs such as heritage, archaeology, ecology, geomorphology, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to required standards.
You will produce environmental deliverables including EIA screening assessments, material management plans, environmental management plans, and applications for environmental permits and consents. Leading liaison with environmental regulators and engaging positively with clients on environmental and consenting matters will be key. You will also contribute to environmental improvement projects locally and regionally and assist in training delivery.
Working primarily in the UK water market, MMB delivers feasibility, design, construction, and commissioning services that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of water and wastewater treatment systems, making a real difference to the environment and communities.
