We are seeking a highly skilled Senior / Principal Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) Engineer to join our growing Energy team. In this permanent role, you will lead the design, development, implementation, and operation of BESS in renewable energy projects, primarily wind and solar power. Acting as the Owner's Engineer, you will provide technical expertise to ensure seamless integration of BESS into project execution.

Key responsibilities include providing engineering support throughout the BESS project lifecycle, conducting feasibility studies, offering expert guidance on energy storage and renewable integration, assessing project specifications and supplier capabilities, collaborating with procurement and project teams, performing simulations and modelling, defining KPIs and monitoring systems, analysing performance data, managing project schedules and budgets, conducting on-site inspections, and supporting commissioning and testing phases.

Experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably electrical/electronic engineering, renewable energy, or energy storage systems.
- Prior experience in technical due diligence, owner's engineering, advisory services, and feasibility studies for renewable energy projects and/or energy storage systems.
- Strong knowledge of BESS technologies, grid integration, and power system modelling.
- Project management skills including risk management and coordination with diverse teams.
- Familiarity with local and international regulations, industry standards, and codes related to energy storage, renewable energy, and grid integration.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English; additional languages are an asset.
