Location
Uxbridge, based in Denham, managing and improving the M25 motorway network.

Hours
Shift work on a 4-on, 4-off pattern rotating equally between 4 day shifts (05:00 to 17:00) and 4 night shifts (17:00 to 05:00), including 2x30 minute breaks per shift. Includes reasonable travel around the M25 network and between depots, travel to meetings, training and worksites outside normal operational area, and participation in out of hours call out rotas such as Winter Maintenance.

About the Role
Balfour Beatty is seeking an ERT Operative Level 2 to join the Highways Emergency Response Team responsible for the M25 DBFO Network. You will assist in efficient service delivery by undertaking a wide range of incident response, hazard clearance, network maintenance, and other tasks as directed by your Line Manager. Duties include cyclical maintenance, carriageway repairs, soft estate maintenance such as grassland upkeep, litter picking, sign maintenance, cleansing, safety and boundary fence repairs, minor civil engineering or building tasks, and any other duties allocated.
Implement Chapter 8 compliant Traffic Management in line with CPS policies, method statements, risk assessments, and industry standards. Provide accurate written and verbal communication through reports and records. Use mobile communication and data devices to input data for reporting and business records.
Conduct routine vehicle checks and maintain accurate driving records in accordance with legislation and CPS procedures. Take due care of CPS property including tablets, vehicles, and radios. Raise awareness of issues affecting safe network operation and report observations. Ensure Traffic Management signs, equipment, and materials are carried and maintained on vehicles according to maintenance checklists.

Experience
- Working on a live motorway or All Purpose Trunk Road (APTR) network.
- Experience in traffic, transport, highways, or recovery roles is preferred.

- Physically able to deploy traffic management equipment such as placing and lifting cones and signage.
- Successfully pass security checks, annual driving license checks, pre-employment drug and alcohol tests, and health screening programmes.

Qualifications
- UK Driving Licence, minimum category CE (LGV Class 2).
- Driver Qualification Card.
- CSCS Operative Card.
- 12AB for Static Temporary Traffic Management on High-Speed Roads and APTR network.
- Traffic Management Foreman (TMF) qualification or Lead Traffic Management Operative (LTMO).
- 12AB Impact Protection Vehicle (IPV) Courses.
