About the Role
Be part of this ‘once in a generation’ project that will deliver clean energy to 6 million homes for the next 60 years. Sizewell C will see the creation of a 3.2 Gigawatt nuclear power station on the Suffolk coast to provide reliable low-carbon electricity. The Civil Works Alliance is an extended delivery enterprise involving Sizewell C and three international construction companies: Balfour Beatty, Bouygues Travaux Publics and Laing O’Rourke. We are more than just an alliance, we are bringing together a single delivery organisation with years of learning and experience from other major complex infrastructure programmes worldwide.

The purpose of the role is to manage a multi skill level estimating team (Senior Estimator, Estimator, Assistant Estimator) to develop both cost planning and pricing for the Alliance Services and Plant & Logistics section of the project. You will feed into the Head of Estimating on the project to ensure consistency in estimating approach set out by the client. You will be capable of producing various estimating documentation that can be assured both internally and externally. The role requires stakeholder management to produce the Estimate, working closely with planning, procurement and other teams. You will present, negotiate and justify prices produced in an open and honest manner to both senior leaders within the business and external customers or partners.

Experience
- Infrastructure Main Contractor background ideally in the Civil engineering market.
- Commercial or operational background considered.
- Proficient in the use of Excel and similar software.
- Excellent client facing and communication skills.

About you
- Mobile and flexible.
- Strong stakeholder management and team leadership skills.
- Ability to present, negotiate and justify pricing clearly and confidently.

Qualifications
- Chartered by relevant industry recognised chartership e.g., ICE, CICES, RICS, CIOB (desirable).
- Experienced estimating background using Candy Estimating Software (desirable).
- Experienced estimating background using RIB Cost X Quantification & Estimating Software (desirable).
- Experience of working with the AACE principles of Estimating Class and associated maturity (desirable).
