About the Role
At WSP, you will have the opportunity to work on landmark projects with a global leader in engineering and professional services. Join our growing Ground and Water business as a Geo-Environmental Consultant supporting contaminated land assessment and remediation projects. You will be involved in site work including supervision and management of site investigations, soil logging, environmental sampling, and ground gas monitoring. Your role will also include data collation, review and interpretation, site investigation design support, and preparation of technical reports such as desk studies, site investigation reports, remediation studies, and verification reports. You will ensure all work complies with procedures and the highest safety, health, and environmental standards.
A typical week may include Phase 1 Desk Study research and reporting, Phase 2 Site Investigation design and supervision, soil sampling, subcontractor management, risk assessments, and client communication. You will work closely with project teams and be supported by experienced colleagues, project managers, and directors. Requirements

Experience
- On-site experience of site investigation and similar field works
- Preparation of Phase 1 contaminated land/geo-environmental desk studies
- Knowledge of planning, designing, and managing site investigations
- Experience in soil logging
- Understanding of Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations in site investigations
- Knowledge of UK land contamination regime and risk-based assessment approaches
- Report writing skills with ability to present information clearly and accurately
- Data handling experience; GIS knowledge is desirable

Qualifications
