About the Role
Arcadis is the world's leading company delivering sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets. With over 34,000 people across more than 30 countries, we are dedicated to improving quality of life by solving complex challenges through innovation and collaboration. Our two-year Graduate GROW Programme supports your transition from student to professional, involving real client work and projects from day one. Your journey will be tailored to your chosen specialism and the variety of projects you contribute to. You will build technical expertise by engaging in meaningful client projects while developing business acumen and professional skills through cohort training. Graduates are encouraged to proactively seek diverse opportunities to broaden their experience and development. As a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer, you will specialise within your discipline and gain the experiences needed to become a technical expert.

Arcadis has a long history in geotechnical and ground engineering, dating back to 1888 as a land reclamation specialist. Our geotechnical teams are involved in high-profile projects such as High Speed 2, London Bridge Station, Lower Thames Crossing, and Ontario Line underground improvements. We work across sectors including Rail, Highways, Water, and Energy. Your responsibilities will include assisting in foundation, retaining wall, ground improvement, and earthworks designs, conducting desk studies, specifying and scoping intrusive ground investigations, producing interpretive reports, and providing geotechnical design solutions and recommendations. Our team utilises innovative digital tools for accurate ground modelling and geotechnical analysis.
