About the Role
The Anglian Water Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) project involves the planning, design, and construction of approximately 320km of new strategic, large diameter, clean water interconnector pipelines and associated infrastructure across Anglian Water’s region. The SPA Alliance will also manage a further 260km of future interconnector pipelines and infrastructure. The Graduate Development Programme focuses on developing your personal, leadership, business, and technical skills over 2 years. The programme includes various training formats, mentoring, and support to help you achieve Chartership. Graduates may rotate between projects or sectors every 8-12 months to gain broad experience. You will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects in sectors including nuclear, highways, rail, water, airports, and tunnels.
Some roles may require Security Check (SC) clearance, which involves a minimum 5-year UK residency and successful vetting.
Key responsibilities include assisting the Quantity Surveyor with subcontract preparation and management, procurement strategy, site visits, live forecasting, cost monitoring, contract administration, risk mitigation, financial accounts, and maintaining Health & Safety standards. You will work closely with project teams to ensure contractual compliance, efficiency plans, and accurate financial reporting while driving a culture of continuous improvement in Health & Safety.
Experience
Extensive IT knowledge, particularly MS Excel. Ability to work accurately and appreciate its importance. Experience working in teams and under pressure is advantageous. A positive attitude and willingness to learn with appropriate instruction.

Qualifications
Good result (minimum 2:1 achieved or expected) in a Quantity Surveyor degree or equivalent. Hold an RICS or CICES accredited degree, or be enrolled on an accredited part-time postgraduate degree with relevant experience. Working towards full membership of RICS or CICES. Full UK Driving Licence required. Mobility to work on various projects throughout the UK during the 2-year programme.
