About the Role
As a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager at Thames Water, you will lead a small team to deliver the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Strategy while ensuring compliance with Thames Water’s management system, standards, processes, and procedures. You will collaborate with the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Leadership Team to develop corporate strategies and implement initiatives. Your responsibilities include liaising with Operational Directors, integrating strategy and risk management, preparing and reporting performance data, and mentoring your team of Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisors to maintain high performance. You will provide expert support, advice, and signposting on all HSW matters, oversee incident reviews using a Human and Organisational Performance (HOP) approach to identify root causes and effective actions, and build strong relationships through site visits. Additionally, you will undertake ad-hoc projects and other duties as required by your line manager. This role offers a hybrid working model based at Ashford WTW / Fobney WTW with regular travel across the region.

Experience
- Proven experience leading a team and building stakeholder relationships is highly desirable.
- Experience in health, safety, and wellbeing management within utilities, infrastructure, or construction industries is advantageous but not essential.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging with senior business leaders.
- Ability to mentor and develop team members effectively.
- Willingness to travel regularly and work across multiple locations.
Qualifications
- NVQ6 / NEBOSH / NCRQ Diploma.
- Chartered Member of IOSH.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Understanding of Human and Organisational Performance (HOP) principles is desirable.
