Location
Field Based in North London with access to Lea Bridge WTW (E5 9HP).

Hours
36 hours per week, Monday to Friday 7:30 - 15:36. Includes a 1 in 4 weekend rota with additional payment.

Salary
£40,645 to £46,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Role
As a Repair and Maintenance Clean Water Technical Specialist, you will provide expert technical and problem-solving support both on-site and remotely to ensure quality repairs on the water network. You will work closely with and coach repair and maintenance teams to deliver right-first-time, effective solutions, always prioritising health and safety.

Your responsibilities will include supporting on-site delivery of repair and maintenance activities within SLA to meet business and customer outcomes in a timely, safe, and cost-effective manner. You will oversee complex repairs such as deep excavations and validate permits to break ground on-site. Providing technical expertise, you will help teams comply with health and safety standards throughout all repair stages.

Mentoring and coaching less experienced team members to develop their technical skills and ensure compliant, safe, and effective operations will be key. You will also engage with customers and councils to facilitate prompt work delivery with minimal disruption. Your role supports leakage reduction and minimises service interruptions, ensuring readiness to respond effectively.

Additionally, you will undertake competency assessments of repair and maintenance teams to ensure health and safety compliance, quality workmanship, and ongoing skills development.

Requirements

Experience
Proven experience in repair and maintenance within water networks or similar technical environments is essential.

Qualifications
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential due to role requirements).
- EUSR Water Hygiene certification.
- Street Works qualification (NRSWA) / SMSTS.
- Service Avoidance Level 2.
- First Aid qualification.
- Asbestos and COSHH awareness.

Additional beneficial qualifications (not essential):
- Abrasive wheels training.
- Manual handling training.
- Confined space awareness.
