About the Role
Join Biffa Waste Services and be part of the team that keeps our iconic "Big Red Trucks" running across the UK. With over 100 years of history, Biffa is changing the way people think about waste. As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of vehicles and waste management handling equipment to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and DVSA requirements. You will carry out scheduled preventative service and maintenance inspections to meet Biffa’s operator’s licence commitments. Our diverse fleet ranges from light commercial vans to 44t articulated specialist assets, offering plenty of opportunity to develop and expand your technical knowledge. Experience
Previous roles such as PSV Mechanic, Heavy Goods Technician, Lorry Mechanic, LGV Technician, HGV Technician or HGV Mechanic are desirable. Skilled or semi-skilled technicians are encouraged to apply as upskilling is available.

Qualifications
Full Level 3 HGV/PSV apprentice qualification, City and Guilds or NVQ qualification at technician level is required. A minimum of a car/van driving licence is essential. HGV licence and IRTEC qualification are desirable but not mandatory.
