£49,183.68 per annum rising to £52,612.56 after 3 months successful probation

About the Role
Help us make a difference as a Shift Electrical Technician at our West Sussex MBT/AD facility. You will effectively drive engineering activities to deliver all operational aspects of the facility, ensuring plant availability through timely completion of planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, engineering tasks, and process improvements. You will uphold best practices on shift through high engineering, compliance, and health & safety standards.

Your core responsibilities include working reactively to resolve machinery problems and breakdowns, as well as executing planned maintenance and project work. The electrical scope covers sensors, relays, AC/DC motors, contactors, control panels, and PLCs. Fault finding on PLCs, preferably Siemens S7, is highly desirable. Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or automated environments supporting maintenance work is ideal.

You will ensure all accidents, incidents, and near misses are reported immediately and maintain high standards of housekeeping. Additional duties include motor electrical and mechanical fault finding, familiarity with MCC panel layouts, controls and instrumentation (temperatures, pressure transducers, flow meters), reading and interpreting electrical drawings, electrical fault diagnosis, and PLC hardware knowledge.

Experience
Proven experience in a similar role such as Electrical Engineer, Maintenance Electrician, Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Technician, Maintenance Technician, Electrical Fitter, Service Engineer, Industrial Electrician, Shift Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Engineering Technician, Plant Maintenance Engineer, Facilities Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Controls Engineer, Maintenance Supervisor, or Automation Technician is highly desirable.

About you
You must be electrical qualified and competent with strong fault-finding skills and the ability to work effectively on shift patterns. A proactive approach to health and safety, compliance, and engineering standards is essential. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Qualifications
HNC Electrical/Electronic Engineering is essential.
BS7671 18th Edition qualification is advantageous.
