About the Role
Your primary function in this role is to load and sort waste using mobile plant machinery, ensuring compliance with the site environmental permit and municipal contract. Key responsibilities include assisting with MRF plant blockages while ensuring compliance with health and safety rules and regulations, assisting with MRF plant cleaning when needed, working in accordance with QHSE policies including reporting of close calls and incidents, involvement in best practice and continuous improvement through regular site audits and checks, stock control and accurate reporting of contract and non-contract waste, complying with changes to company standards and legislation, providing light maintenance of equipment, assisting the site supervisor in reviewing maintenance activities, cost control, health and safety, behavioural safety observations, KPIs and implementing necessary remedial actions in the event of variance, and ensuring the highest level of housekeeping is maintained.

Experience
- Previous mobile plant experience (e.g. FLT, Telehandler, loading shovel, ro/ro, TUG)
- Knowledge of MRF operations

About you
- Willingness to learn and undertake studies to obtain Level 2 City and Guilds Qualification in Sustainable Waste Management
- Good understanding of health, safety and environmental compliance
- Good people skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels internally and externally
