Hours
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Overtime available as and when required, including weekends and Bank Holidays.
Overtime Rates: Weekdays x 1.5, Saturday x 1.5, Sundays & Bank Holidays x 2.0
Salary
Up to £22.95 per hour, plus 50p per hour for a valid HGV Licence, plus Veolia benefits and pension.
Sign-on and retention bonus of £3,000 available.
About the Role
As a HGV Technician at Veolia, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of over 100 types of vehicles, ensuring the continued delivery of our services across the UK. Your responsibilities will include repairing and maintaining Veolia fleet, third-party vehicles, and plant equipment in line with manufacturer and industry standards. You will run diagnostics using various equipment and carry out hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic diagnostics and repairs. Additional duties include completing HGV MOT inspections and preparations, performing roadside repairs when necessary, and ensuring all paperwork and timesheets are accurately completed. You will work within Health & Safety regulations, taking responsibility for your safety and that of those around you. Experience
Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter or Technician is preferred but not essential. Skilled or semi-skilled Technicians are encouraged to apply as upskilling and development opportunities are provided.

You hold a valid HGV driving licence.

Qualifications
HGV driving licence is required.
Relevant mechanical or technical qualifications are advantageous but not mandatory as training will be provided.
