Salary
Up to £47,840 per annum (£22.50 per hour based on a 40 hour week) plus £0.50 per hour HGV licence bonus
Overtime paid at 1.25x rate
Sundays and Bank Holiday working paid at 2x rate
Sign-on and retention bonus of £3,000

About the Role
As an HGV Technician at Veolia, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of vehicles, ensuring the continued delivery of services across the UK. No two days are the same as you work on various vehicle types within our mixed fleet. Your responsibilities will include running diagnostics, performing hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic repairs, carrying out HGV MOT inspections and preparations, and completing roadside repairs when necessary. You will work closely with the Workshop Management Team and adhere strictly to Health & Safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Requirements

Experience
Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter or HGV Technician is preferred, ideally with an NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Qualification.
Experience with diagnostics and repairs on hydraulics, electrics, pneumatics, and driveline systems is advantageous.

About you
Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements is essential.
Hold a HGV driving licence is preferred but not essential.
Ability to work safely and responsibly within a team environment.
Supply your own comprehensive tool kit (diagnostic equipment and specialised tools will be provided by Veolia).
Motivated to learn and develop skills further; upskilling opportunities are available.

Qualifications
NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Qualification preferred but not essential as training can be provided.
IRTEC Licence preferred for MOT inspections; training will be provided if required.
