About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Day Shift Maintenance Fitter to join our team at the Poplars AD Plant. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring our anaerobic digestion facility operates safely, efficiently, and reliably through proactive maintenance and rapid fault response. Your key responsibilities will include delivering planned and reactive maintenance across the plant, diagnosing faults quickly and carrying out effective repairs, supporting installation work and equipment improvements, driving plant reliability and continuous improvement, working closely with operations teams to minimise downtime, coordinating specialist maintenance activities with contractors, maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance, and supporting preventative maintenance programmes and root cause analysis.

Experience
Minimum 2 years' experience in a Mechanical or Electrical Fitter role. Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills. Experience working in a fast-paced process, manufacturing, waste, water or industrial environment. Understanding of planned preventative maintenance principles. Ability to prioritise and respond effectively to breakdowns.

Qualifications
Relevant Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification preferred. We welcome applications from candidates with experience as a Mechanical Fitter, Electrical Fitter, Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Engineer, Multi-Skilled Engineer, Mechanical Maintenance Technician, Electrical Maintenance Technician, Plant Fitter, Plant Maintenance Engineer, Service Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Production Maintenance Technician, Industrial Maintenance Technician, Shift Engineer, or similar maintenance and engineering roles within manufacturing, process plant, waste, recycling, utilities, water treatment, energy, FMCG, chemical processing, quarrying, aggregates, and heavy industry environments.
