Night shifts: 17:00 to 03:00 (one week per month on nights)

About the Role
Help us make a difference as a Maintenance Technician at our Masons MRF Facility in Suffolk. You will be required to effectively and efficiently respond to all operational engineering needs, as directed by the Engineering Supervisor, to reduce operational downtime while ensuring health and safety requirements are always considered and executed.
Your core responsibilities include:
- Comply fully with all safety instructions, policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others
- Where necessary, supervise a team of contractors and ensure work is carried out to the required standard
- Support the Engineering Supervisor in developing other team members’ skills and abilities
- Carry out problem-solving activities on plant and machinery to identify faults and rectify them
- Perform both preventative and breakdown maintenance on all site equipment
- Proactively identify potential faults and improvement opportunities to prevent future failures or improve efficiency
- Use the CMMS fully as per company procedures to promote timely reaction to work requests, build equipment history, and support effective stock control and material usage recording
- Maintain the workplace, tools, and engineering facilities to prevent hazards and promote effective engineering practice
Experience
Experience in maintenance roles such as Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Engineer, Multi-Skilled Technician, Electrical or Mechanical Maintenance Technician, Shift Technician, Engineering Technician, Plant Technician, Service Technician, Facilities Technician, Production Technician, Reliability Technician, Equipment Technician, or Industrial Technician will be considered.

Qualifications
- Level 3 Qualified Mechanical/Plant and/or Engineering (desirable)
- Welding and Fabrication (desirable)
- Conveyor system and associated plant knowledge (desirable)
- Understanding of electrical/instrument maintenance (desirable)
- Hydraulics and Pneumatics knowledge (desirable)
