£45,798.48 per annum with overtime paid at 1.5 times and double time on Sundays
About the Role
This role is part of an established maintenance team focused on driving a safety-first mentality while supporting the delivery of the Condition Based Maintenance programme. You will ensure the latest technology is combined with industry-leading practices to implement efficiency and sustainability aligned with company values. Your day-to-day duties include executing planned maintenance activities such as inspections, monitoring, and routine tasks, while providing technical feedback to improve job plans and task lists within the CMMS system. Key responsibilities include assisting the shift team with mechanical repairs and supporting electrical repairs when required, diagnosing faults promptly to minimise downtime, and using the CMMS system to carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive work orders. You will also be expected to report all accidents and incidents through the company’s Eco Online System. Flexibility to undertake on-site training such as MEWP, FLT, Telehandler, and Confined Space Entry is required.
Experience
- Strong fault diagnosis and rectification skills on mechanical and electrical systems and equipment
- Good working knowledge of rotating machinery, shaft alignment, machinery mounting, service equipment, conveying systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics
- Competent in the use of machine tools and hand tools commonly used in maintenance activities
About you
- Excellent understanding of health, safety, and environmental compliance
- Ability to read and understand PIDs and mechanical schematics including pneumatics and hydraulics
- Working knowledge of Permit to Work (PTW) and Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) systems
- Flexible and willing to undertake additional on-site training as required
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification
