About the Role
The role holder, reporting directly to the Supervisor, will be responsible for the operation of mobile plant, housekeeping activities, basic maintenance and cleaning of fixed process plant, associated record keeping, all in compliance with site licences, PPC Permits and health and safety legislation. Core responsibilities include operating Fork Lift Trucks, Front End Bucket Loader, and 360 Excavators to unload and load vehicles, stockpile materials, feed the process plant, store finished products, and load outgoing vehicles. The role also involves carrying out housekeeping and maintenance activities, daily maintenance and record keeping for mobile plant and equipment, basic maintenance and cleaning on fixed process plant under supervision, regular inspections of site infrastructure, controlling vehicle and pedestrian traffic within the site, and liaising with Biffa Waste Services and external hauliers to ensure timely dispatch of materials.

Reliable and safety-conscious individual with the ability to operate various mobile plant machinery efficiently. Able to carry out housekeeping and maintenance tasks, follow instructions from supervisors, and work collaboratively with site management and external partners.

Qualifications
Relevant certifications or licenses for operating mobile plant machinery are essential. A commitment to health and safety compliance and record keeping is required.
