About the Role

We are seeking a Principal Civil / Structural Engineer to join our growing rail design teams in London and Bristol. In this role, you will lead the delivery of complex rail infrastructure projects including bridge replacement, station and depot schemes, working as part of multidisciplinary teams across the business. You will have the opportunity to contribute to high-profile rail programmes such as Washwood Heath Depot for HS2, MetroWest Phase 1b, and CP7 Framework projects, as well as projects across housing and development, local authority, building structures, and education sectors. Your responsibilities will include leading civil and structural engineering design projects, providing technical leadership, overseeing interdisciplinary design reviews, managing quality assurance of engineering deliverables, coordinating survey requirements, identifying and managing design risks, and supporting Project Directors and Managers to ensure successful project delivery. Experience
- Chartered Engineer status with ICE or IStructE
- Significant civil and/or structural design experience on infrastructure projects
- Proven experience leading the delivery of complex engineering projects
- Strong proficiency with industry-standard analysis and design software
- Experience managing design risks and undertaking design assurance activities
- Rail sector experience including stations, depots, bridges or other rail infrastructure projects is advantageous
- CRE experience or a desire to work towards CRE competency is beneficial; support and mentoring will be provided

Qualifications
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
