About the Role

Our Water Management team is seeking a Principal Wastewater Modeller to lead the development of wastewater models, manage key project aspects, and build strong client relationships to expand our project portfolio.
In this role, you will work on some of the UK’s most technically demanding projects and AMP8 programmes, focusing on flooding challenges, storm overflow pollution reduction, and network resilience while ensuring compliance with UK regulatory requirements such as WINEP. You will take a leadership position in client engagement, ensuring technical deliverables meet expectations and fostering opportunities for continued collaboration and growth.
Your responsibilities will include delivering wastewater infrastructure and non-infrastructure modelling projects, conducting technical reviews, overseeing model build and verification, managing survey specifications, and developing strategic solutions to mitigate flooding and reduce CSO spills. You will support designers at various design stages, review and enhance technical reports, resolve modelling challenges, and ensure compliance with standards. Collaboration with clients and multidisciplinary teams, mentoring junior members, and assisting with bid preparation will also be key aspects of your role.

Experience
- Advanced expertise in hydraulic modelling for wastewater infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects
- Proven experience in model quality assurance procedures
- Skilled in team and stakeholder coordination and management
- Strong report-writing skills
- Experience with InfoWorks ICM; knowledge of HADES is advantageous
- Competent in relevant GIS software packages
- Coding experience is desirable
