About the Role
Join AECOM’s UK Water team as an experienced Geomorphologist and River Restoration Project Lead. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality projects nationally and internationally, working with regulators, governments, water companies, river and wildlife trusts, estate managers, and developers across various industries. Your role will involve planning, managing, modelling, and designing sustainable geomorphology and river restoration schemes. Projects include detailed design and construction supervision of river re-meandering, nature recovery and wetland restoration, landscape-scale river restoration and natural flood management, weir removals, fish passes, and river basin scale restoration planning. You will apply your expertise in geomorphology, hydromorphology, river engineering, hydraulic and sediment transport modelling, and project management while coordinating multi-disciplinary teams. You will also provide coaching to peers and junior staff and maintain close client and stakeholder engagement. Health, safety, and environmental considerations are integral to all work. Experience
- Proven experience in river restoration projects
- Highly experienced in project management and delivery
- Technical excellence in geomorphology, hydromorphology, river engineering, detailed design, contractor supervision, and CDM Regulations
- Skilled in hydraulic and geomorphological/sediment transport modelling
- Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary technical teams and engaging with clients and stakeholders

Qualifications
- Degree in a relevant subject such as geography, physical sciences, or engineering
