About the Role
Help us make a difference as a Process Supervisor based at our Poplars Anaerobic Digestion plant in Cannock. You will efficiently organise and supervise the operation of the anaerobic digestion plant, ensuring health & safety and environmental compliance at all times. This role requires continuous improvement in productivity, plant availability, and the quality of sub-products produced in accordance with site licences.
Your core responsibilities include monitoring and controlling all resources within the AD plant, including people, equipment, and stock control. You will maintain a high level of housekeeping to maximise operational productivity, plant availability, and performance. You will ensure productivity and availability exceed minimum defined standards for biogas/electricity production and sub-product quality (inerts, digestate, and effluents), while driving best practice and continuous improvement in cost control and processing operations.
You will control the material flow into and out of the process to minimise downtime, provide accurate and detailed records of all plant operations, settings, and stoppages, and attribute causes to all unplanned downtime. Supporting the engineering function, you will help develop a programme of planned preventative maintenance, inspection, and cleaning to minimise downtime and record recurrent faults.
Additionally, you will analyse and review maintenance activities, cost control, health & safety, and service KPIs, implementing corrective actions as needed. Strong man management skills and the ability to stay focused in a demanding environment are essential.
Join us and be part of a team changing the way the world thinks about waste, turning it into sustainable power and recycling solutions while improving lives across the country.
