We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Architect to join our Education team. This is a hands-on delivery role for a qualified architect who can independently lead and coordinate projects, manage day-to-day design and technical delivery, and act as the primary architectural lead within a multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will have proven experience delivering education projects and will be capable of running projects from briefing and concept design through technical delivery and construction. They will balance design quality, technical excellence, stakeholder engagement and project management to achieve successful outcomes for clients.

Key responsibilities include acting as Project Architect and leading the day-to-day delivery of education projects across all RIBA stages; managing project programmes, deliverables, resources, budgets and performance; developing and coordinating design information across multidisciplinary teams; preparing and presenting design proposals, technical reports and project documentation; leading BIM and digital design coordination; managing planning applications, Building Regulations submissions and other statutory approvals; producing detailed technical design packages suitable for tender, construction and delivery; ensuring compliance with Building Regulations, the Building Safety Act and relevant education-sector standards; building and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships; and mentoring project teams while contributing to technical reviews, knowledge sharing and business development activities.

Experience
ARB-registered Architect with RIBA Chartered Membership (or working towards chartered status). Significant post-qualification experience within a UK architectural practice environment. Proven experience acting as a Project Architect and leading projects as a Job Runner. Demonstrable experience delivering education-sector projects, including schools, colleges and universities. Strong knowledge and application of the RIBA Plan of Work across all project stages. Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams and managing project stakeholders. Strong technical design, detailing and project delivery capabilities. Proficiency in Revit and BIM workflows, including digital design coordination.

About you
Excellent communication, presentation, client relationship and stakeholder management skills. Understanding of DfE-funded projects, education-sector design guidance, Building Safety Act requirements, framework environments, MMC, sustainability and low-carbon design principles. Strong project leadership, collaboration, commercial awareness and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications
ARB registration and RIBA Chartered Membership (or working towards chartered status) are required.
