We have developed innovative tools to more robustly and efficiently collect and manage ecological data, enabling our team to focus on making a real difference.

Our projects include providing detailed biodiversity advice to improve NHS hospitals for people and the planet, delivering nature-based solutions for water treatment and flood management, and overseeing the production of a Local Nature Recovery Strategy.

We have a large portfolio of projects and a healthy forward-order book, bringing fantastic opportunities for Ecologists at all levels.

As a Senior Ecologist (Generalist/Botanist/Ornithologist/BNG specialist), you will likely spend time mentoring junior team members, undertaking office-based tasks and site surveys. You may work on elements of large projects, coordinating appropriate resources in liaison with subject matter experts, ensuring deliverables are on time and within budget. There is also scope to progress your project management experience if desired.

The projects you will work on are located across the UK and span all stages of a project’s life cycle, from design conception to implementation, providing opportunities to positively influence scheme design, enhancements, and promote best practice.

Although based in a city ecology team, you will be linked to a wider network of ecologists across the business, offering excellent career development opportunities and the chance to make a meaningful contribution within our ecology team.

This role suits a dynamic, proactive team player who wants to work in a growth area of the business and help deliver ecology services in a fast-moving, client-focused, commercial environment.

Experience
Proven experience as an ecologist, ideally with expertise in general ecology, botany, ornithology, or Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG). Experience mentoring junior staff and managing elements of large projects is highly desirable.

Experience working across all stages of project life cycles and delivering ecological advice in a commercial environment is advantageous.

Qualifications
