About the Role
Are you passionate about improving the environmental performance of infrastructure development projects and helping the UK deliver its net zero commitments? Join AECOM’s established Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) team of over 165 experts across the UK and Ireland. As a Senior EIA Consultant, you will coordinate environmental inputs to EIA screening and scoping reports, Environmental Statements, and supporting documents, including technical review of specialist chapters. You will be involved across all project stages from early strategy and site identification through to detailed design, construction, and operation. This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale development projects transforming infrastructure, including energy generation (carbon capture, hydrogen, renewables), energy transmission, carbon capture pipelines, strategic rail projects, highway improvements, regeneration, and developments across ecommerce, minerals and waste, water, defence, aviation, commercial, residential, and industrial sectors.
Your responsibilities will include ensuring the highest quality of deliverables, developing project management skills through resource and budget coordination, collaborating with integrated design teams to improve environmental outcomes, engaging directly with clients and internal teams, and supporting business development and fee proposal activities. You will be part of a dynamic Environment & Sustainability business with over 650 staff, working in an inclusive and forward-thinking environment that values your contributions.
At AECOM, you will benefit from career development opportunities, technical practice networks, AECOM University, volunteering days, and a flexible hybrid working model designed to support your work-life balance and well-being. Join us to help build sustainable legacies and create a positive impact on communities and the environment.
