About the Role
As a Senior Financial Analyst, you’ll play a key role within our Divisional Accounting team, supporting the Head of Divisional Accounting to drive strategy and develop a consistent, standardised approach to cost accounting across the business. You will lead improvements in cost accounting processes and postings, implement new ways of working, and strengthen controls while coaching Financial Analysts across the team. This is a great opportunity to make a real impact, drive continuous improvement, and help shape how divisional accounting operates across the business.

Your core responsibilities include supporting the preparation and review of month-end accounts to ensure accurate and timely delivery against internal reporting deadlines and agreed SLAs; owning and reviewing monthly balance sheet reconciliations with robust controls and timely resolution of issues; providing challenge and guidance to Divisional Finance teams on accounting treatments to ensure compliance with accounting standards and principles; supporting the Head of Divisional Accounting in developing, monitoring, and strengthening financial controls, processes, and disciplines; driving improvements to existing processes, schedules, and ways of working by introducing standardised and fit-for-purpose approaches across divisions; working closely with the Finance Optimisation team, Divisional and Group FBPs to identify and deliver process improvements and support future development requirements; acting as a key point of contact for Divisional Finance teams by building strong stakeholder relationships and leading regular review and feedback sessions; supporting team capacity planning, coaching and reviewing the work of Financial Analysts, providing cover where required, and deputising for the Head of Divisional Accounting when needed.
