About the Role

We are seeking experienced and committed Senior or Principal Technical Leads to join our water team and take technical expert and management roles within our WINEP water resources projects.

Your role will be based within the Catchment Science team in our Sustainable Water Management Consulting group, collaborating with multi-disciplinary technical experts including hydrogeologists, hydrologists, geomorphologists, and hydro-ecologists. Responsibilities include providing technical expertise in WINEP water resources projects, ideally with hydro-ecology experience, leading client and regulator engagement, supporting project pipeline development, generating high-quality bid proposals, and managing projects including financial and quality assurance aspects.

This role offers the chance to work across disciplines on projects involving water resources, hydrogeology, water quality, flood risk management, biodiversity net gain, and environmental impact assessment. Experience
- Proven technical leadership and/or management of water resources WINEP investigations or similar projects
- Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams to deliver robust technical assessments
- Clear understanding of regulatory requirements, especially the Water Framework Directive
- Experience assessing impacts of abstraction on the water environment, ideally with hydro-ecology expertise
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Strong commercial awareness and experience in business development and proposal preparation
- Excellent report writing and technical review skills

Qualifications
- MSc and/or BSc degree in a relevant discipline such as earth sciences, environmental science, geography, or aquatic ecology
- Chartered status or working towards chartership with a relevant professional body
