This is an exciting time to join our market-leading Infrastructure Planning Team, which has secured notable contract and framework awards in 2024, including partnerships with National Grid, Nuclear Waste Services, and many other key clients.

As an Associate Director based in our London office, you will lead and support multi-disciplinary projects under the Town and Country Planning Act and the Planning Act 2008. You will manage and mentor team members, helping to deliver consenting solutions for major infrastructure projects. Experience with consents under the Planning (Wales) Act 2015, Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act, Transport and Works Act Order, or Electricity Act is also valued.

You will provide technical advice to clients, manage consenting requirements, prepare applications, and oversee project budgets. Your role will involve collaboration across planning, land, and environmental teams, contributing to landmark projects in energy, renewables, nuclear, net zero, water, rail, transportation, and aviation sectors.

Requirements

Experience
- Proven experience delivering multi-disciplinary projects under relevant planning legislation.
- Experience managing and mentoring junior consultants.
- Strong project management skills including budgetary control.
- Experience preparing consent applications under the Electricity Act, Town and Country Planning Acts, Transport and Works Order, and Planning Act 2008.
- Experience with Planning (Wales) Act 2015, Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act, Transport and Works Act Order or Electricity Act is desirable.

Qualifications
- Degree level qualification in town planning or equivalent.
