About the Role
The Senior Reporting Accountant will play a key role in the external reporting processes for the Group. Reporting to the Head of External Reporting, your responsibilities will include performing group consolidation, preparing statutory financial statements for group subsidiaries, managing internal and external stakeholders during the year end audit, and preparing technical accounting papers. This role is vital to ensure statutory reporting deadlines are met and the year end audit plan runs effectively. Key duties include producing consolidated financial statements at year end, preparing technical accounting and management papers to support complex judgements, liaising with divisional finance teams to resolve accounting queries, managing external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process, assisting with the implementation of new accounting standards to ensure IFRS compliance, maintaining the Group Accounting Manual, supporting the entity rationalisation project to simplify the group structure, and preparing subsidiary financial statements in compliance with Companies Act 2006 and UK GAAP.

Experience
Recognised accountancy qualification (ACA or ACCA). Recent experience auditing or preparing financial statements for a large group. Sound understanding of IFRS and statutory reporting requirements.
