About the Role
Murphy is recruiting a Senior SHES Advisor to join the Energy team at WIRP. Our business is renowned for its extensive in-house expertise, experience, and continuous innovation to create added value for our customers. We support groundbreaking transmission and distribution projects across multiple countries, delivering Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) projects and technical solutions within both conventional power and energy transition markets.

In this role, you will advise and support Managers and Supervisors in fulfilling their Health & Safety responsibilities as defined by legislation and company procedures. You will ensure all personnel understand their statutory duties and provide advice as needed. You will assist management teams in maintaining compliance with SHESQ Plans, conduct accident and incident investigations, analyse data to recommend improvements, and manage SHESQ-related data to identify continuous improvement opportunities.

You will also assist in managing the audit programme, carry out audits, participate in working groups, forums, and committees affecting the workforce, monitor equipment, and implement best practices while actively seeking innovations to enhance the Business Unit.

Experience
Previous experience as a SHES Advisor, Health & Safety professional, or in a similar role.
Experience within civil engineering or construction sectors.
SHES membership or NEBOSH qualification.
Solid understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and BS OHSAS 18001 standards.
Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel.
