About the Role
Arcadis is the world's leading company delivering sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets. With over 34,000 people in more than 30 countries, we are dedicated to improving quality of life by solving the world’s most complex challenges through collaboration and innovation.
We are seeking a motivated Senior Structural Engineer to join our dynamic UK Structural team within the Resilience Global Business Area. Our projects span the water and energy sectors and range from small technical challenges to large, complex multidisciplinary projects focused on sustainable design.
In this role, you will own responsibility for small to medium structural projects and sections of larger schemes. You will carry out and supervise structural analysis, design, and digital modelling; prepare design models, calculations, and reports; and ensure compliance with company procedures to produce safe, sustainable, and innovative technical work. You will learn from technical peers, lead small structural teams, and collaborate proactively with multidisciplinary project teams including geotechnical, hydraulic, M&E, and environmental specialists.
You will deliver project work through Arcadis Global Design Centres and contribute to bidding, budget control, timescale management, and risk evaluation. This role offers excellent opportunities for technical development, mentoring, and career progression within a global leader committed to sustainable solutions and resilience against climate change and urbanization challenges.
Experience

- Proficiency with structural software such as ROBOT, TEDDS, Masterseries or similar
- Experience with 3D digital software such as REVIT, Navisworks or equivalent

- Experience working in design teams and managing inputs from technicians and junior staff
- Track record of broad and innovative design experience, including use of new technologies and focus on reducing embedded eCO2
- Experience conducting independent structural inspections and assessments on site, with supporting report production
About you
Confident and motivated engineer with a flexible skillset, eager to stretch your structural abilities and contribute to sustainable design solutions. You are proactive in communication and collaboration, enjoy mentoring and learning, and are committed to delivering high-quality, innovative engineering work that positively impacts the environment and society.
