Summer - any 5 days in 7, all week including Saturday and Sunday, 8.45am to 6.15pm
Winter - closed Thursday, 8.45am to 4.15pm

Salary
£12.91 per hour plus recycling bonus

About the Role
Help us make a difference as a Site Operative at our household waste recycling centre in Crawley. You will assist in the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the site, supporting the general public visiting the centre. Your responsibilities include ensuring that waste brought onto the site is segregated as much as possible for recycling, adhering at all times to Company policies and procedures including Health & Safety, environmental and operational requirements. You will provide operative services to support site operations, including picking and segregation of waste, cleaning yard areas, advising and assisting centre users to maximise segregation and recycling, redirecting commercial customers, and portraying the best corporate image.

Experience
Customer service skills with the ability and willingness to assist members of the public and other site users. Ability to work as part of a team and to use your own initiative.

About you
Reliable and motivated individual with a positive attitude towards health and safety and environmental responsibilities. Comfortable working outdoors and engaging with the public.

Qualifications
No formal qualifications required. A willingness to learn and develop within the role is essential.
