
Location
North London - Woodford (E17 3PR), covering the wider North London area and occasionally South London sites.
Hours
38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 15:36, with the option for paid overtime.
Salary
From £29,323 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
About the Role
Join Thames Water as a Strategic Field Technician on a permanent basis supporting the Strategic Network Upgrade program across North London. You will take ownership of Network Upgrade projects, support team members, and provide cover during absences. Your role will involve working across the Thames Water operational strategic asset area as business needs require, including assisting with network activities during asset failures while ensuring water quality compliance.
- Minimise and prevent supply interruptions by liaising with customers and resolving issues to maintain efficient service delivery.
- Develop strong working relationships with other teams across the clean water business.
- Support Network Asset Maintenance during Network Events and help meet business targets.
- Act as a local network expert for isolation and rezoning, providing information for risk assessments and sharing network risk and Health & Safety information.
- Investigate the clean water network to resolve issues such as poor asset performance, pressure irregularities, leakage, metering queries, and supply interruptions.
This role requires travel between multiple sites, so a full clean UK driving licence is essential.

Experience
Good knowledge of water network processes is desirable but not essential.
Relevant water network knowledge or experience is highly desirable to understand and implement Permit to Work, mains isolation packs, and guided methods of work.
Competent in using company IT systems and office software, preferably GIS, Z-One, Sample Manager, and MS Teams.

High attention to detail.
A full clean UK driving licence is essential due to travel requirements.
Qualifications
