Hours
45 hours per week with a 60 minute unpaid break. Site open Monday to Friday from 7am to 5pm, weekends when necessary.

Salary
£37,400 per annum

About the Role
As a Transfer Station Supervisor, you will oversee the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of a busy recycling and transfer station. Leading a small team, you will ensure the site operates safely, complies with environmental and health and safety legislation, and consistently delivers high operational standards. Your core responsibilities include supervising and supporting your team to complete work safely, efficiently and to a high standard; overseeing daily site operations to maintain productivity and performance; promoting a strong health and safety culture through inspections and hazard identification; managing contractors to ensure compliance with permits, site rules and safe systems of work; maintaining accurate operational records, reporting incidents and near misses; and liaising with customers, drivers and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth and compliant site running.

Experience
Previous supervisory or team leader experience within waste management, recycling, manufacturing or a similar operational environment is desirable. Good knowledge of health and safety legislation with the ability to promote safe working practices. Experience using basic IT systems to maintain records and complete operational reporting.
