About the Role
The Transport Administrator at Biffa Waste Services is responsible for managing the day-to-day organisation of depot operations through the allocation and basic routing of vehicles. You will ensure best-in-class service delivery to customers while maintaining health & safety standards and ensuring environmental and O licence compliance. This role requires someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is passionate about delivering exceptional service.

Your core responsibilities will include optimising routes and vehicle utilisation, managing driver availability and compliance, overseeing vehicle checks and maintenance, handling administrative tasks such as payroll, timesheets, tachograph records and reporting, and driving cost-efficiency by analysing depot data to improve operations. This role also offers the opportunity to engage directly with employee initiatives and improvement projects, making it more than just a desk job.

Experience
Previous experience in transport, logistics, or traffic planning is desirable. Experience in administration, call handling, or time-critical environments is a plus.

Qualifications
No specific qualifications are required, but a strong ability to plan, prioritise, and meet tight deadlines is essential. Knowledge of the local area is important.
