About the Role
At Veolia, we are committed to ecological transformation and making a positive impact on the environment and communities we serve. As a Transport Coordinator on the PM shift, you will be the primary point of contact for drivers when the lead driver and Transport Controller are unavailable, managing day-to-day welfare issues for drivers and team members. You will assist with toolbox talk compliance, deliver business messages to drivers, and maintain strong verbal and written communication with all stakeholders via face-to-face, phone, and email.
Your responsibilities will include ensuring timely completion of KPI sheets, fuel/mileage trackers, and demurrage sheets, preventing backlogs. You will modify work assignments as needed, communicate changes effectively, and plan proactively to stay ahead of operational needs. Maintaining strong communication with internal and external customers, providing advice, consulting management when necessary, and upholding Veolia's customer-first approach are key to this role.
You will resolve complaints promptly, update customers on ETA changes, liaise with drivers on daily ETA updates, and coordinate with internal and external workshops. Participation in customer meetings with the VHL management team and developing strong customer relationships to represent the company’s image and reputation effectively are also essential aspects of this role.
Veolia offers a supportive work environment with 20 days of annual leave, discounts on groceries and retailers, access to resources supporting physical, mental, and financial health, 24-hour virtual GP access for you and your household, one paid day leave annually to volunteer, and ongoing training and development opportunities to help you reach your full potential.
