Salary
£13.60 per hour (annual salary £31,824). Overtime may be available with a 50p per hour uplift.
About the Role
Help us make a difference as a Waste Operative based at Bracknell. You will be responsible for operating machinery including forklifts, LLops, counterbalance trucks, compactors, and balers. Your role will involve processing waste efficiently and effectively while ensuring all health and safety procedures are strictly followed. Each material must be processed according to guidelines, with all data captured and recorded accurately. Core responsibilities include processing and sorting incoming waste into the correct streams safely, accurately capturing operational data, operating site machinery, following all Health & Safety, PPE, site and company procedures, reporting accidents or incidents promptly, and maintaining high standards of housekeeping, customer care, and workplace safety culture.

Experience
No specific experience required, but previous experience in waste management or machinery operation is advantageous.
About You
Punctual, reliable, and flexible with a positive approach to changing workloads. Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work well under pressure. Fast and accurate with a strong focus on meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards. Able to read and write in English with a basic understanding of different waste materials.

No formal qualifications are required for this role, but a willingness to learn and adhere to health and safety standards is essential.
