Hours
42.5 hours per week (based on a 27 week rota) with shift patterns including 8am to 6pm front shift and 12pm to 10pm back shift. Weekends and Bank Holidays included.

Salary
£34,269 - £38,542 per annum base salary (depending on experience)
Overtime rates for weekday, weekend and Bank Holiday work paid at time and a half

About the Role
Lanes Group is a leading nationwide utility services provider with around 5,000 dedicated employees. Join Sapphire Utility Solutions, a Lanes Group company specialising in multiple divisions, supporting United Utilities contracts predominantly in wastewater network services during the AMP 7 period plan.

As a Waste Water Operative, you will work from the Rochdale WWTW alongside a United Utilities Customer Support Technician on the Bucket 1 reactive contract, solving problems on the sewer network. Your duties will include cleaning, CCTV inspections, and sewer investigations as directed by United Utilities.

You will attend to customers by informing them of works, addressing concerns, and providing timescales. Key responsibilities include inspecting drainage systems to identify blockages, leaks or damage, operating high-pressure water jetting equipment, carrying out CCTV inspections, and performing routine maintenance on equipment.

This role requires competence in using electronic devices such as laptops or tablets for data entry and adherence to safety procedures by reporting any safety issues in line with company policies.

HGV Class 2 is desirable but not essential as training can be provided.

Experience
Desirable experience includes:
- HGV Class 2 (C)
- NRSWA - Sign, Lighting, Guarding
- High pressure water jetting
- Medium Risk Confined Spaces
- Emergency First Aid at Work
- Manual Handling
- EUSR National Water Hygiene
- CPC
