About the Role
We are seeking a Water Efficiency & Optimisation Specialist to join Thames Water on a permanent basis. In this role, you will identify, lead, and drive the implementation of optimisation and efficiency projects within the Water business unit by collaborating with frontline teams, operational management, and the supply chain. You will engage stakeholders to develop clear delivery plans, resolve blockers, and provide progress updates. The role involves on-site, depot, and office visits across the Thames Water estate, requiring flexibility to manage workflow effectively.
Key responsibilities include maintaining a strong focus on Health & Safety, planning and delivering projects by defining scope, objectives, timelines, resources, and key deliverables, and providing consistent progress updates. You will follow governance processes, proactively manage risks, and work closely with the PMO to ensure effective delivery. Additionally, you will source, analyse, and validate data from systems such as SCADA, GIS, Salesforce, and SAP to support decision-making, develop dashboards and reports to track KPIs, and present insights clearly to stakeholders.
You will capture and report benefits using the agreed efficiency model, remain commercially aware to ensure all work delivers value, and engage regularly with field teams to promote a culture of efficiency by capturing ideas and sharing outcomes.
Experience
Proven track record of delivery within operational environments, with a solid understanding of Water Operations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and apply data insights.
Highly effective at stakeholder engagement, building and maintaining strong working relationships.
