Join RWE Offshore Wind for a Year in Industry placement at the Greater Gabbard Offshore Windfarm and gain invaluable insight into the innovative offshore wind sector. Gain practical experience in data analysis, wind farm operations, costing, project management, and internal systems. You will analyse data related to stopped turbines to support operational decision-making, help develop maintenance plans for Service Operation Vessel (SOV) troubleshooting activities and upcoming projects, and support day-to-day engineering and operational tasks. Additionally, you will contribute to engineering projects at the Greater Gabbard Offshore Windfarm and gain practical offshore experience by supporting projects at sea.

This placement is designed for students currently studying engineering disciplines who are eligible for a Year in Industry placement as part of their degree programme.

Requirements

Experience
Ongoing studies in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. Eligibility to complete a year in industry placement as part of the degree programme.

About you
Very good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to coordinate workloads independently and meet tight deadlines. Confidence working in a diverse team environment and engaging with a range of stakeholders. Motivation is crucial; your cover letter should explain why you are a suitable candidate and how this opportunity aligns with your studies and career plans. A minimum of five years’ residence in the UK is required due to potential National Security Vetting.

Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a relevant engineering degree programme and eligible for a Year in Industry placement. Ability to pass National Security Vetting to SC level may be required; failure to obtain or maintain this clearance may result in removal of job offers or employment.
