About the Role
Join RWE Offshore Wind for a Year in Industry placement and gain invaluable insight into the innovative offshore wind sector. As one of the largest global developers of offshore wind, RWE is on a significant growth journey driven by the Growing Green investment strategy and commitment to net zero. With 10 operational offshore wind farms across the UK and multiple projects underway, this is an exciting time to join #teamRWE.

This role offers practical experience in consenting and environmental management during offshore wind farm construction. You will develop knowledge in Environmental Impact Assessments, marine licensing, Development Consent Orders, and Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project planning. Responsibilities include supporting the preparation and review of consent and licence applications, drafting and reviewing key documents, meeting minutes, presentations and trackers, assisting with project management and team coordination, and contributing to engagement with regulators and statutory stakeholders such as the Marine Management Organisation, The Crown Estate, Natural England, and Local Planning Authorities.

You will also participate in industry events and stakeholder engagement activities, collaborating across a large, industry-leading organisation. This placement provides hands-on experience as a core team member, mentoring, development programmes, and comprehensive professional training including Global Wind Organisation certification and Wind Turbine Safety Rules training.

This position is aimed at students eligible for a Year in Industry placement as part of their degree programme. Graduating students in Summer 2027 are encouraged to apply for the graduate programme advertised in January 2027.
