About the Role
Join RWE Offshore Wind for a Year in Industry placement at our Sofia Offshore Windfarm and gain invaluable insight into the innovative offshore wind sector. As one of the largest global developers of offshore wind, RWE is on a significant growth journey driven by the Growing Green investment strategy and commitment to net zero.

With 10 operational offshore wind farms across the UK and multiple projects in development, this is a unique opportunity to be part of a collaborative, feedback-oriented culture. You will benefit from a diverse team environment, access to a global community of students and graduates, and extensive opportunities for personal and professional growth.

In this role, you will gain practical insight into the operational challenges during the early life of wind turbines, develop project management experience from planning through execution, and understand the importance of workplace culture and teamwork in an operational environment. You will work hands-on at a self-perform operated site, supporting statutory and annual routine campaigns, self-perform readiness, and contributing to warranty defect close-outs. Additional responsibilities include assisting with end-of-life and life-extension studies, major component exchanges, and managing day-to-day offshore wind farm activities.

This placement offers meaningful involvement in key projects from day one, mentoring, a development programme, and comprehensive professional training including Global Wind Organisation certification and Wind Turbine Safety Rules training.

Very good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to coordinate workloads independently and meet tight deadlines. Confidence working in a diverse team environment and engaging with a range of stakeholders. Willingness to travel to other sites when required (travel expenses covered).

About you
Motivated and enthusiastic with a strong interest in offshore wind and engineering operations. Able to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to a dynamic environment. Your cover letter should clearly explain why you are a suitable candidate and how this opportunity aligns with your studies and career plans.

Please note that an offer of employment may require passing National Security Vetting to SC level. Failure to obtain or maintain this vetting may result in removal of job offers or employment.
