Supported by a welcoming and diverse team, you will gain hands-on experience in Operations Engineering within the Operations business function.
Your responsibilities will include gaining experience across the full scope of offshore wind farm operations such as safety management and reporting, working with stakeholders across the business and joint venture partners, analysing turbine faults and recommending modifications to maximise output and performance, identifying and documenting operational risks, supporting daily site fault reporting, work planning and technical decision-making, and leading a high-profile continuous improvement project including budget, contract and contractor management. You will help maintain and operate the wind farm efficiently to power hundreds of thousands of homes and businesses across the UK and contribute to team decisions delivering tangible business impact.
Experience
Ongoing degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline. Eligibility to complete a year in industry placement as part of your degree programme.
About you
Very good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to organise workloads independently and meet tight deadlines. Confidence working in a diverse team and engaging with a range of stakeholders. Willingness to travel to other sites when required (travel expenses covered). Motivation is crucial; your cover letter should explain why you are a suitable candidate and how this opportunity aligns with your studies and career plans. At least five years of residence in the UK due to potential National Security Vetting requirements.

Currently enrolled in a degree programme with eligibility for a Year in Industry placement. Please note that an offer of employment may require passing National Security Vetting to SC level. Failure to obtain or maintain this vetting may result in removal of job offers or existing employment.
